Team Liquid, a North American esports organisation, has announced a multi-year agreement with Verizon Wireless. The operator's logo will feature on Team Liquid's uniform as part of the relationship. Verizon has also been designated as the organization's official 5G partner.
Verizon is already well-known in the esports world; they're also Riot Games' official 5G partner for the LCS, specific World tournaments, and Valorant esports. Team Liquid's objectives include maximising the network of our streams, pros, and facilities, as well as participating in community projects promoting Liquid to fans all over the world.
Both companies will engage in a range of projects, including Team Liquid's recently created Diversity and Inclusion Task Force, according to the press release. As a result, a Verizon official will serve as a consultant on the task group.
In a statement, Mike Milanov, Team Liquid’s Chief Business Development Officer, said of the cooperation, “Verizon’s 5G continues to deliver impressive offerings in and around gaming. We’re eager to kick off our first-ever mobile network partnership and collaborate on innovative platforms and activations that help both Team Liquid and Verizon better connect with and support our communities.”
