Despite being told that they were not allowedto meet for any person to person contact, the Titans defied orders and trainedtogether at a local high school, resulting in another 8 players testingpositive. This brings the total number to 23 including quarterback RyanTannehill.

 

It has been reported that the school coachesgave the stricken team permission to train on the 30th September at theMontgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, only a day after they were expressly toldnot to.

 

The game between the Titans and the PittsburghSteelers has had to be postponed from the 4th to the 25th of October. The team could also face severe punishment forbreaking protocol, particularly if their actions are proven to have been pre-meditated,Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk reported. Other upcoming games look likelyto be affected, namely Sunday’s game against the Buffalos.

 

NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, has issued awarning to all 32 teams, stating that breaking COVID protocols could lead tothe stripping of draft choices or forfeiting games. The protocols were updatedon the 2nd of October, and Goodell reiterated that they were mandatory.
