Seeing a Washington Football Team Quarterback go down to the peril of a leg injury has become an unfortunate trend. The latest victim of this curse is/was current QB1 Kyle Allen - with his season now appearing to be finished.
Allen suffered a dislocated ankle as well as a small fracture in the first quarter of the matchup with NFC East rival the New York Giants.
This means that Allen joins a growing list of recent Washington Quarterbacks that have suffered the same fate, strangely November just doesn’t sit right with Washington QBs.
Robert Griffin III tore his ACL in a 2012playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks. Alex Smith’s miraculous journey to come back to the NFL from shattering his right leg in two places back in 2018was only completed a few weeks ago.
Colt McCoy suffered a broken right fibula just weeks after Smith in December 2018, and now Kyle Allen joins that list.
In some lighter news, Tom Pelissero from the NFL network is reporting that Kyle Allen’s injury is not as bad as it appeared on replay, however, is still a significant injury.
