It was a bad day at the office for Anthony Lynn and the LA Chargers. The shutout at the hands of the Patriots means the Chargers fall to 3-9 for the season, but one thing’s certain - this was not one of the near-misses that Justin Herbert and the team have succumbed to this season.
The loss was bad and it was exposed for the awful special teams’ play which ironically was already ranked as the worst in the league by FPI. Unfortunately, Sunday’s game against New England was a worse performance.
As another loss gets added to the wrong column for LA, the questions begin being asked about whether head coach Anthony Lynn is on the hot seat.
During the post-game press conference, Lynn was confident he would be the coach heading into Monday but the future is anyone’s guess.
At the end of the day, it’s something completely out of Lynn’s control.
That won’t stop us from asking the question, though, especially when this Chargers team is stacked with talent and the only positive from this season so far was a result of a medical negligence issue.
