Supporters against the idea of the Super League, most fans have stated it as a sad day for football.
The concept of a European Super League consisting of football clubs from across Europe has been discussed since the 1990s, and now it's officially coming to light. The project is planned to start in time for the 2023-24season, with a $6 billion fund backing the project.
The Super League has occasionally been officially proposed but never implemented fully; FIFA and all six continental confederations, including UEFA, have rejected the formation of a breakaway league.
There is a "huge risk" that the new League could be blocked and illegal under EU sports law, with a leading sports lawyer only rating the chances of it being allowed as "50-50".
Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, Manchester United, and Tottenham are amongst the 12 clubs who have already agreed to join the new European Super League (ESL).
In European football, the Premier League clubs will join AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, and Real Madrid.
Boris Johnson has already made his feelings clear that he opposed the "very damaging" proposals, and this morning, he is promising to block them.
Will this new League ever happen? Billions of pounds are at stake here.
