Cowboys are Yet to Cover a Spread this Season, Letting Down Their Loyal Bettors

October 23, 2020

Monday night football delivered yet another disappointing result for betting fans of the Cowboys - despite huge backing from bettors, losing to the Arizona Cardinals 38-10, their 4th loss of the season.

A bet on the Cowboys proved popular with bettors turning them into favourites on the verge of Andy Dalton’s first start post Dak Prescott’s injury.

The Cowboy’s loss meant they are still yet to cover the spread, but they aren’t alone, with the New York Jets joining them.

The bets poured in for Dallas in the lead-up, even though they were without quarterback Dak Prescott after he suffered a nasty dislocation and compound fracture to his right ankle during the week five game against the Giants.

By half time the Cardinals had the game in the bag, thanks to a pair of Zeke Elliot fumbles being returned for touchdowns. Cowboys defence wasn’t much better again, something that head coach Mike McCarthy will need to address having conceded 218-points through six games. .

Look for the Cowboys to bounce back next week against NFC East rival the Washington Football Team - which they’re already sitting as strong favourites.
