Captain Kirk finally wins on Monday Night Football! Snaps 9 game losing streak

November 18, 2020

The Minnesota Vikings propelled themselves back into the playoff conversation with their 19-13 win over the Chicago Bears. A win which comes on the back of a strong performance by Vikings Quarter back Kirk Cousins.

Captain Kirk threw for 292 yards, completing25 of 36 attempts for 2 touchdowns and an interception. The win puts Cousins finally in the winning column on primetime television as it is his first win for a national audience - a feat which took Cousins 10 games to reach 1-9.

While personal wins aside, the bigger talking point is that the Vikings have thrown their name back into the ring as serious playoff contenders again. They’ve won their last three games, with this week coming against a hot Chicago Bears defence that was ranked as one of the league’s best.

Adding to the triumph, rookie Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson posted his fourth game with 100+ receiving yards. Jefferson is on pace to beat Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Moss’s Vikings rookie record for most receiving yards - going back to 1998.

As Kirk Cousins says best - “you like that!”.
