Sportradar, the world-leading supplier of data and integrity services solutions, has entered an agreement with the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) prevention of corruption unit.
Sportradar’s Integrity Services will give support to the Indian cricket governing body and assist their anti-corruption department by monitoring and protecting each match in the 2020 IPL season.
In addition, the data services company will also provide risk assessment through data insights and intelligence. As part of their agreement, the BCCI will be able to access Sportradar’s Intelligence and Investigation Services, which has a portfolio of products that combat and profile people involved in inside information, match-fixing, illegal betting, and many other fraudulent activities that go against organisation rules.
Managing Director of Sportradar’s Integrity Services, Andreas Krannich, reported that they were the world leaders in sporting integrity and as such were hoping to provide their expertise and assistance in protecting the cricket tournament with regards to integrity issues. He went on to add that the BCCI was very serious about the integrity of the game and that Sportradar was looking forward to working closely with them to offer support in their plight.
